Week 6 and Arriving home unexpected.

Hey all.

Week 6 it wasn't a normal week. As most people know I returned home for my brothers wedding this weekend. I was only on duty for one day at the school. This was monday.
On Tuesday I finalised all my packing and caught the train to Copenhagen in the afternoon. The train trip was pretty good. Got to see some different country side that I hadn't seen yet. I will see it a few moe times though. Tuesday night I stayed at a friends place before going to the airport on wednesday.
My flight flew out of Copenhagen at 12:30 so I thought it was like Sydney where the gates open 3 hrs before the flight takes off. I was wrong. The gate opened 2hrs instead. I spent 1hr waiting in the airport. Once the gate opened I booked in and moved onto the customs. When I got to customs I found that I had some washing tokens from the school still in my pockets from tuesday. So now I have them with me and can't do a thing with them.
Once I was on the airport I wandered around through dutyfree but didn't buy anything.
I waited in the dutyfree for about 1 1/2hrs before the flight. The flight bI was about to go on took me to Helsinki. It was 1 1/2hrs long.
Once I got to Helsinki I had to go through Immigration to get outside of the EU. It was very easy and quick. The guy at the counter asked if I had been in Finland for the entire time and I said not Denmark and he said okay and let me through.
I waited in Helsinki for 1hr. Well I was meant too. It ended up being 2hrs. The plane had a fault with the landing gear and then the airport computers malfunctioned and had to be reset so the flight inventory had to be resent through to the plane.
That flight took me from Helsinki to Hongkong. It went for 10 1/2hrs. I got to see a nice sunset and sunrise on this flight. It was awesome seeing the sun rise up over the horizon. I wanted to sleep on this flight but there was no chance at all.
When I arrived in Hongkong it was 8am. I had 45mins to get to the next gate. It wasn't to bad since I knew where I was going. I had enough time to go to the toilet and get myself some food before I had to board the plane again.
On this flight it was with Cathay Pacific. I really enjoy flying with them. They have got individual tv screens so that you can watch what you want. I wanted 4 movies on this flight. Can't remember them though. I think I slept about 1 hour in total on this flight. This fligt took me from Hongkong to Sydney. It was 9hrs i think.
Once I got to Sydney I met up with Leroy's dad to hand over the things that Leroy had given to me to bring back home. Then I caught a train to Central station and went to the Railway Square Hostel where I stayed for the night.
That night I got to bed at 10 or 11pm not quite sure but I ended up waking up at 3am. I tried to go back to sleep but it didn't work. I got up and sat out on lone of the couchs and surfed the net for a little while and talked to some of the students in denmark.
On Friday I caught the early morning train to Canberra and arrived at 11:30. Once I arrived I caught the bus home. It wasn't to bad catching the bus. I finally arrived home at 12:30 to a nice and peaceful home. I got home before any of my family. This was good because none of them knew that I was arriving so early. I ended sleeping from 1pm til 1830. This was when everyone was in the kitchen making food. :P Perfect Timing to get up.
When I walked out of my room I saw dad down stairs walk into the study. I called out his name and he answered "what brad?". I waited until he came out of the study and I said "dodge"(just something I call him). He looks up and says "what are you doing here? Aren't you meant to be arriving next week?". I said yeah thats what I told you. My brother, sister, ans sis inlaw came out of the kitchen. My sis gave a a huge hug.
That night my bro's inlaws came up to help finalise wedding preparation. My bed was all setup for Sharees little bro to sleep in but I got there first. He had to sleep downstairs.
On the weekend I went to both of the SDA churches in Canberra and caught up with my friends and church family. Everyone there was surprised to see me back so early.
On sunday I helped out tidy up the garden that my bro is having the ceremony in. It is quite a nice garden. Not as green as denmark but then again its australia. It never rains it just floods every so often.
Yesterday(monday) I caught up with my old work mates. Payed them a visit at work. It hasn't changed. A few people have moved places, a few more desks are empty but the environment is the same as when I was there nice and relaxed but busy.
Today(tuesday) I woke up very early after being really tired last night and going to bed early. I called up my dad and he told me that my mum was arriving from the USA at 9am instead of 10. So I got up and cleaned up the house so that it was tody for her and she could just sitdown and relax.
When we got to the airport it was 910. We thought that she would already be at the baggage carousel. She wasn't. She was still unboarding the plane. Dad and I had a plan. He stood out in the middle where mum could see him and I walked up behind her. She was really excited. She didn't have a clue that I was going to be there. And i'm glad she didn't. It meant that my plan to surprise her worked. The only thing is that everything that she was going to do for me like clean my room and have it nice and tidy and ready for me didn't work. but I got to do it for her. Well clean the house atleast.
Now for the coming days it is going to be busy. My relatives arrive on friday for my bro's wedding and sharees also arrive on that day. Saturday will be the first time that most of my relatives have met hers. We'll see haow that goes.

Hope you all enjoyed reading this really long blog entry.
Here are some photos for you all of my trip back to aus.

Boys Weekend

Hey all. This weekend was boys weekend. All the grenge(guys) all went away to Himmerlandsgården Adventist Campground. It was pretty nice there. They have their own "beach". When we went there the shore was gone. The tide was up and there was no sand to walk along.
Some of the things that we did were Wrestling, Football, Capture the flag, 2 guys did a nudey run, watched movies. I had a great time. It was cold though and I got a cold that went around. So now I have got a nice runny nose and a cough. So more multi vitamins.

Week 5

Hey all

This weekend we had a bible study on friday, like every week. The bible study is with the other sm's. This is great. It allows us time to chill out before the weekend duty starts.
On Saturday we had an english sermon for church in the morning. That was great. I understood everrything. In the afternoon, we went to Aarhus to the Cafe church. That was good. They had good music and it was a very warm and inviting place. The coffee wasn't to bad either. When we got back the 2 SM's on duty were playing a game whilst walking along the front of the hovedbygning(main building). I walked past them to get some tea but they called me over and I joined them. What we were doing was walking from one end of the path to the other and then doing something that one of us had thought of. Some of the things we did were:
cluck like a chicken whilst spinning around and waving our wings
run into a pile of dirt
pretend to swim on top of picnic tables
walk through a rose bed with out getting caught in the thorns
be a balerina
eat a rose
spin around 20 times then run
wheel barrow walk someone
leap frog race
and a couple more.
In the evening some SM's watched movies whilst the students watched the football(soccer) match between Denmark and Sweden(0-0).
Sunday I went to Juelsminde with some of the sm's. While we were there we went for a walk along the wharf got an icecream, studied some danish, and swam in some nice and cold water at the so called beach.
When I got back from the beach I came back to a room covered in toilet paper and cornflakes spralled across my bed under my doona. I left it because I went to Vejle with the SM's to get a movie to watch that night. When I got back I cleaned it up and then went to have tea. After tea, I come back to my room just to find out that my room has been toilet papered and cornflaked again. this time I had cornflakes on my window sill, at my door, in my cupboard, in my bed on my clean sheets.
Monday I have wake up. I did it for Leroy because he is going to take a few of my shifts while I am in Aus. I spent the whole day learning danish. I had danish class from 8:45 til 10:20. After class Jenny(sm) and I spent the rest of the day trying to do the homework.
Tuesday. For extra sports the teacher that organises it told me that the "Run and Go" group needs to go further. Today we jogged and walked 10km in 1 1/2hrs. It was very long. On Thursday I hope to go faster.
I got into a food fight. I got hit for being an inicent by stander. So I got them all back. I had apple crumble and cream all over my face and neck. I didn't come out of the fight to scaffed. One of the pige had apple crumble in her hair, on her face, in her ears. Now I just have to wait and see if my room gets attacked.
Wednesday. I had a sick student in my dorm during the night. He was throughing up. During the night they came to wake me up but they must have been really quiet I didn't wake up at all. The student ended up going home wednesday afternoon. The female sm slept in on Wednesday. At 7:30 I went to find out if she was awake and to wake her up because none of the 8/9 klasse pige were going to breakfast. The afternoon most of the students went to Vejle to go shopping. This a a regular thing they do on Wednesdays. The students left behind get to do whatever they want.
I had andagt(evening worship). What I did was let the guys ask me questions about myself that they would like to know. Some of the questions were:
How tall are you,
Where in Australia do you come from
What type of school did you go to
Are you a virgin(what the???). Yes I did answer it.
Do you have a girlfriend.
Do you miss your family
Why did you choose Denmark.
How much danish can you speak
what are your hobbies
I did also tell them things about my background with the church and being a christian.
Thursday. It was my day off. I woke up around 9am. I had planned on cleaning the school van(bamse pronounced bumsa). When I had booked it to be clean I found it gone. So I searched the school it see if it was still on site. It was. I found it up next to another building. So I started cleaning it. I got the inside looking kinda clean. Alot better than it was before I started. Now all I have to do is the outside. In the afternoon I talked to some of the sm's and I made my self a nice big fruit salad and yogurt. It was very nice fruit salad. After that I tried to help a guy fix his computer. In the evening after dinner I went for a swim and got back just in time to listen to the end of andagt(worship). After that I had Choir. Yes thats right choir. I joined the choir on thursday singing bass. After that I helped out a pige with her english homework. Then mooved some tables from the kirken(church) to the hovedbygning(main building).

Well thats my crazy week so far. Today I leave to go on the "boys weekend" trip. This is going to be fun and interesting. I'll post some pics up of it when I get back on sunday.
Hope you all have a great weekend.l

4th week coming to an end

Hey all. This week has been good. I had the weekend off, which was great. On Friday we had to students that have cleaning duties together and they didn't want to get along at all. I talked to one of them and this student just didn't know what he was doing that made the other one scared. Now they are friends and no longer work together.
We had a new male SM, named Leo, arrive on friday. Now we have got 9 sm's. the new sm is from America but lived most of his childhood in Switzerland. He will be taking over Leroy, a sm from last year, when he leaves in November.
Also on friday, all the SM's had worship. My part was to do the welcome. I chose to try it in danish. This is what I tried to say. "Hej, Welcome to aftens andagt. Aftens andagt will be taken by the student missionaerers." I think it worked but I am not sure.
On saturday it was the Jubilae(Reunoin) for all the old students. We had a the choir sing for us during the church service. In the afternoon we sat around and talked. In the evening we watched a movie down in Einstein (the movie/pool room/canteen area) in the basment of the drenge bygning(boys building). I also called up my dad for fathers day. I also called my aunty and grandparents.
On sunday we had two students go home because a member of the family's past away. Both with in 1 1/2hrs apart from each other. One of the students is back already. The other student is meant to be back at school tomorrow(friday).
On sunday it was a lazy day. Since I wasn't on duty I didn't wakeup until 11am. Just intime for brunch. The rest of the day I was inside the pige bygning(girls building) or drenge bygning either watching movies or talking because it was a very miserable day. All cloudy and raining.
For the rest of the week, we had ADRA(Adventist Developement and Relief Agency) Appeal. The students get a choice to go on the appeal or go to school. Most of the students go on the appeal. The appeal ran on monday and tuesday. I drove some of the students to Juelsminde, a small town at the end of the fjord. Whilst the students were doing the appeal I got time to go wonder around Juelsminde. Below are some of the pics I took whilst I was there. The day was very windy and not to warm. I did go for a quick dip at the beach though. The water was like it is at Bega/South Coast during autumn. You have to go numb before you can swim. The only problem is there wasn't any waves to dive under and body surf.
Monday I received a parcel. It was great. It felt like christmas. Not knowing what was in the parcel.

During the rest of the week it has been the same as every other week. I've had a few late nights.
The hot water got shut off in the 3 main dorm buildings due to a leak in the pipes. We currently have around 130 students that don't have access to a hot shower in their dorms. They have to go over to the school building and shower in the changerooms. This has been really bad because I can't have a hot shower as well because I live on one of these buildings. Today I did get a nice hot shower though. One of the houses at the school is used for girls boarding. The female sm's have their own bathroom in the house so I got to use it after not having a shower for 2 days due freezing cold water. Hopefully the pipes are all fixed up by the weekend.
On Wednesday night I planned my trip I am doing over Oct break. I am going to ride from the school upto the most northern point of Jutland which is about 450km. I have 10 days to do this. I have got a couple of the guy sm's interested in joining me on the trip which will be great. I don't know how I would got riding 450km by myself or be able to push my self when I need the encouragment.
Thursday(today), I woke up nice and late(11am) after staying up until 3am watching a movie. I was woken up by a phone call. I had an unplanned meeting to go to. The meeting was about taking worships. I have got 2 worships before I leave for Aus and 1 when I get back. The rest of my day I walked around taught Vanessa, a sm from Aus, how to drive on the right handside of the road and a manual car at the same time. Leroy got her to drive after I taught her to a town called Hedersted about 15km from the school. He told me to tell his folks he loves them and that he had fun whilst he was in DK. :P The afternoon I went with the "run and go(walk)" group during extra sports. I lost a few students but they did get back. I watched another movie. Then I am here now writing in my blog to all you people out there reading it.

I really hope it is interesting to read. You'll have to let me know if I am boring you all to death.
Well I'll catchya's all next time. Check out the link to MV7 Design. It is Marios(an SM from mexico) photo album. He has got some really good pics of us, the students and the scenery around the school.

3rd Week

Well its coming to the end of the third week.
This week I had weekend duties. This meant that I was on duty from friday afternoon til sunday midnight. We did get a break on either friday/saturday night and worked for around 5hrs on sunday by myself. On the weekends I found it to be great. Most of the students go home. Last weekend we had water activities which was kayaking or water slide. I did the water slide. It was great. It was about 25m-50m long all soapy. To go faster we used black garbage bags that we put holes in for our arms and head and put it on like a shirt. With the garbage bag on we were going alot faster and further. We got atleast 8m off the tarps we were using as the slide. This we did on saturday afternoon.
On friday night we had 2 students which are a couple decide to go for a wander away from the school. We searched their rooms and the near by rooms to see if they were there. After looking around the school for 30mins we stopped looking. At 10pm one of the students that had permission to leave to school for the evening came back and said that they had seen the to people we were looking for and that they were in the guys dorm. The head dean that was on duty for the weekend went up to the dorm to talk to them. He didn't find them in the lounge area, so he went to the guys room to see if he was in their. When the dean opened the door, he was greeted with the guy standing in his underwear with his girlfriend in his bed. They said that they were tired because they went on a long walk. But we just never understood why if they were only going to "sleep" why didn't the girl go to her room and sleep in her bed?
Saturday night. It was great. All the sm's went to a nearby town called Horsens. There they had a Medievil festival. The whole town centre had been recreated into little shops made from logs with tanbark laid down on the roads. There were lots of shops selling little souvernoirs to full outfits and costumes, Ivory tusks to toffee apples. One of the things I really liked was the music and the fire throwers. One of the fire goes showed how they use to remove body hair back in the day. He burnt all the hairs off of his arms, chest, back, underarms, and even down below. Well all we saw was him putting the flame torch down his pants and smoke coming out. Another thing I liked about the medievil festival was hats. They had tall pointy ones, princess ones, metal solders helmets, and everything inbetween.
These two students were both sent home on monday for a week because of what they did on friday. Now they may not be allowed to return to the school. The school board has to decide on Monday. The girl didn't want to be here anymore on the weekend, but the guy does want to stay.

On sunday it was really good. In the morning I took one of the female sm's to the train station because she was going to Copenhagen for the night to a farewell party for one of her friends. I dropped her off first thing in the morning. Then for the rest of the day I sat out side read a book, ate, flew a kite, and then just lounged around until I was on duty again at 8pm. Sundays are great because you don't have to organise anything for the students. They study, go play football, relax in the sun(if there is some and not raining), sit and talk.

During this week I have had a very up and down week. On monday it was a very bad day. First I was woken up by one of the students playing very loud music at 7:30am so I took his speakers off him. Also one of the klasse 8 boys got on my nerves and wouldn't listen to anything I asked and told him to do. This was from doing his cleaning duty in the boys dorm and mucking around during study time. By the end of the day I had had enough of him. I called home to talk to mum about it. And it was great.
The rest of the week has been quite good. Yesterday(thursday) was my day off so I lounged around and did my own thing. I watching 4 movies, went into town to get afew things and thats about it.
Now it times for me to get out of bed and get ready for the rest of the day.
Hope you all have a great weekend and a happy sabbath.

2nd week

It's now coming upto the end of the second week of school. On the weekend we have "survival camp". All the students from boarding school and some of the day students went on the camp. We had around 230 students there between the ages of 14-20. All the students in klasse 8-1g all had to hike on friday to the camp site. This consitted of walk then a bus trip for the klasse 8/9 and a bus then walk for the klasse 10/10g/1g. I was with the klasse 10. We started out with the klasse 10g becuase we got dropped off at the same time.
This was good because I had another student missionary(Crista) to talk to. The walk was split up by 8 activities. We had to walk to each of them finishing up at the campsite. The first part we got kinda lost. Crista and I were put incharge of the map. The thing is there was no legend or scale. During the first part we missed a turn that we were meant to take but somehow we got back on the track that we were meant to have taken but was heading in the wrong direction. After walking for a few minutes we worked things out and heading back to where we were meant to be going.
We finally got to the first activity. This was to be tied together in a line, in groups of 7. The students then had to walk to the next activity tied together. this was interesting since we had to walk through one of the hilliest parts of Denmark.
At the second activity the students were untied. They had 2 minutes to fill buckets up with the most water using plastic shopping bags. The most water put into the buckets was about 80 litres, but not to sure.
The third activity the students were split into cows and herders. The cows had to be herded along a road and not get stolen by a group of theives. We didn't do good on this one.
At the forth activity the students had to collect a number of different kinds of leaves and say wait the name of the tree was that it came from. Well thats what it looked like anyway.
Next was the fifth activity. This was great. The cows were given this long thin piece of licorice(i think) that looked like hollow spagetti pasta and they had to see how many they could eat in 2 mins. I was hungry by this time so I asked the people in charge if I could have one. One of them said no but another sneaked me one. :P I was happy. The licorice was good. not salty like the other licorice I have tried here.
After the fifth we walked on to the sixth. We got to this road the looked like it led to private property one way and a car park the other. The map told us to go the the private property. The students wanted to go to the car park. We did go towards the private property like the map said and followed the route just to find out that we came out 300m from where we were before after walking 1km. The students weren't happy.
When we got to the sixth activity, we had to answer bible questions. This was good, though the questions said in danish so I needed someone to translate for me. The first question that I answered was about how many people visited Abraham to tell him that Sarah was going to have a child. I said 2 but the answer was 3. It was better than was what the kids were saying but not correct. A few of the other questions I did get correct but the students still needed to make a choice whether to trust my answers.
Once the quiz was finished a student came up to me and asked if I was a priest(pastor). I said no and asked why he thought I was. He said that I knew the bible so he thought I was.
The walk the seventh activity was nice. We walked through one grassland and a bit of forrest to an island in the middle of a lake.
The seventh activity the students had to play a game where the activity organisers throw paper balls at them and if they got hit they were out. Once the first few paper balls were thrown the students were able to throw them back at the organisers to get them out before they were all out. The students won. The prize was a lolly each.
The walk to the eigth activity was very short. About 500m. This activity the students were split into cows and herders again. The herders had to carry the cows 100m. This was done over a hill. Whilst we were doing this activity one of the female students hurt their knee. This was bad because we still had around 3km to walk to camp. We did have a small village about 1 km infront of us though.
Two of the boys helped the girl walk but it was taking to long. I ended up putting her on my back and carried her to the village. I di have to stop a few times because my arms were getting sore. Once we got to the village we were greeted by the bus, which was great. It meant we didn't have to walk the rest of the way.
On friday night, I was greeted by a couple of the students from the higher grades wishing me a happy birthday. This was great since I wasn't home. Whilst grabbing a plate of food from the kitchen area one of the girls that knew it was my birthday started singing happy birthday to me and another 50-70 people joined in. This isn't what I expected.
Once I finished my tea, I headed over to the fire to warm up alittle and talk to some of the students just to have more students sing happy birthday to me but this time in danish.
As the sun was setting, we all went into the big tent for andagt(worship). This was fun because some of the students don't like going and others had gone off and were exploring the area. I had to go find them and get them to go to the tent.
At the end of the meeting I walked away to go get my jumper, then i hear my name being called through the speakers and then a bit of danish. One of the students that saw me head off quickly got me and told me that I needed to go up the front. So I did. Once there they all, 230 students plus staff started singing happy birthday. I didn't know what to do. Do I stand there and sing? I didn't get a cake or anything but I did get lots of people wishing me a happy birthday.
On saturday, the sm's had to do a skit on regection. The skit was about us learning danish. We had a danish sm tell us a word and we repeat it. One of the things we had to say was "jeg hedder" then your name. So we said "Jeg hedder then your name". That means "My name is" if you haven't worked it out. After that we had a "new student" join our danish class and we had to say "Rød grød med fløde" which is extremely hard to say. The "new student" could say it but none of us other students could. The class finished then we went to football training and the "new student" needed a position on the team. His position was defence but that had already been taken by another student. So we suggested water boy but he didn't like that. Then we left him and the teacher on the stage. Then the new student was left by himself because he was also regected by the teacher.
All the kids enjoyed the skit. They thought the part about learning danish was really funny. After the skit we had a talk by the caplain.

In the afternoon we spent the time playing football and had a canoeing race across the lake and back. After tea we played capture the flag, toasted marshmellows and watched pink panther.
Sunday was pack up. I got to teach the kids the emu walk to tidy up the camp site.

The rest of the week, we finally got our rosters so we now know when we are meant to be working and which weekends we are working. I have got weekend duty this weekend. So it is going to be interesting.

Today was my day off. I got to finally relax and enjoy my self doing my own thing and leave everything up to one of the other sm's. Today I went for a swim down at the fjord and then a run with the students for extra sports. Then I drove into Vejle to a large department store called Bilka to buy some supplys for the canteen. I also drove some of the students to Hedersted so they could buy themselves some pizza.

Well thats my second week for yas. Hope you enjoyed reading. Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRENZ. Hope you got my msg and I didn't wake you up. :P

1st Week

Well this is week 1 of school. The boarding students arrived on sunday. This week all the student missionary's have had to be on duty in the afternoon's. I have morning shift twice this week. This requires me to get up in time to start waking the guys in yr8/9 at 6:50am. We than have to go to the dining hall and mark off all who have attended breakfast. If they didn't attend they are told to stay in their rooms all afternoon without being allowed the use their computer. Some of the guy students have already missed 2 breakfasts and it is only been 4 days into the school year.
If we have any students that are sick we have to put their name on a sick list which then is put into the staffroom in the school building. If the students require a doctor, we have to drive them to the nearest doctor.
We have had one guy leave also. I'm not sure why he left but it may have been because he was home sick.
Tomorrow its my b'day. First time away from home. I will have to work on my birthday. I'm not able to get it off. We are going on a hike. The hike is split into classes. I am hiking with the 10 klasse. We have to meet infront of the girls dorm where we will be picked up and taken to some location and will have to hike to the camp ground. On the way we will have to do some activities. The hike will be something like an orienteering course.
Tonight we have an activity they call star games. This is a whole lot of games set up around the school and the students will go out each one and have to participate in the activity. This maybe something such as throwing hoops, obstical course, etc. Mine has got something to do with flying water. Hopefully I don't have to get wet. :) But by the sounds of it, its going to be something like water balloons. I'll find out.

Well it is now time for the students to do their cleaning duty(pligt).
Cya's all later.

Anthony :)
Hey. I arrived at the school on Sunday after being on spejderlejr (pathfinder camp). Over the last week I have been camping on a persons farm on a peninsula near a town called Roskilde. At the camp I got to meet a few of the older students and a few current ones. Some of the things we did at the camp were water skiing, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking. One of the jobs I had to do while I was at camp was lifeguard duty. This required me to be at the water from 2pm-6pm. On the days I was down there I got sun burnt and tanned. I am going to be darker when I come back in Sept.

One of the things that I liked at the camp was building the kitchen, table and "sofa's". The sofas were these 3 chairs made from fish nets. All the structures we made from pine logs. We had to tie them all together with rope. The club got marked on how neat and strong there knots were. One of the things that really surprised me was the fact that the pathfinders were climbing up these structures that they had made that were about 5m in the air to tie the knots with out any type of safety equipment.

Since arriving at the school I have had 2 1/2 days to relax and sort out my own things. This was great to be able to do. I got a chance to call a few people and say hi.
One of the things that I didn't like about having the time to sit and relax is that there were students that have come to the school to earn money working outside and all I see out my window are the students pushing around mop and buckets, gardening, cleaning the buildings, etc. whist I am here in my room reading emails and surfing the internet. By Tuesday lunch time I had enough. I asked one of the workers in charge if there was anything I could do. He got me to help him tidy up dead trees in the forest and stack it all up, and also chop drop a couple blackberry bushes.

In the forests around the school I have found a few wild fruit trees. Some of them are plums, blackberry's, rose buds, apples, pears.

Wednesday I had my first official day of work. It all started with a meeting then we went to the dorms and had a meeting with the man head deans. After that we went through the boys dorm and made a check list of everything that needed to be fixed and that was missing from the rooms.

Tomorrow I have more work that needs to be done but it will be in a different building fixing and moving things.

Here are some of my pics I have taken so far. Hope you enjoy them.

First Church Service in Dk

Yesterday was sabbath so I went to church. The church that I went to was Ebenezer SDA church. The service was all in Danish. They did have an interpretter available. After the service we had lunch at church. We all sat outside because it was nice and sunny. But, like everyother day so far it rained on us, so we went into the hall and finished lunch.
While I was there I got to meet a couple of girls that were students at Vejlefjord skolen. They told me what to expect and a few things about the place. They also tried to teach me a bit of danish and how to pronounce Vejle, which I am still having trouble with.
By the time I left church yesterday it was 16:00. I went back to the hostel to get a little bit of sleep but ended up walking around the lake just outside the hostel. I got the see a birds. There was a group of ducklings that were cute. They were all huddled up and sleeping. I did get a pic of it. I'll put it up later.

Well today I am off to Roskilde to go camping with the VHS8 Spejder Trop. I'll be camping for a week so you won't here from me until I get to the school.

Taking a walk through Copenhagen

Well, today has been a fun day. I woke up as 5am to find it all cloudy. So far the weather has been like Melbourne. It's changed from being sunny to cloudy/stormy/raining about 10 times. When you just take your rain coat off it will start spitting of it will bucket down.
So far I have spent the day in the city and walked a 'tourist' trail. It basicly takes you through the city. I'll put pics up of it once I get to the school and I fix my computer. For some reason it doesn't want to connect to my phone.
I checked out a few churches and castles in the city. Once I had finished the 'tourist trail' I went to Christiania. Christiania is basicly like Nimbin but you can legally buy weed. The problem with buying it is you can't take it out of Christiania. But then again I donæt have that problem. I'm looking at going back there on sunday to buy some souvernoirs.
Hope everything is good in Aus. Catchups later.

I'm Here

Well everyone just a quick word. I am here. arrived at the hostel at 6pm. All unpacked and sorted. Will be in Copenhagen for 3 days. Off to get some tea.
